"MY NAME AND MY GAME ARE THE SAME"

It is with sadness that I write of the passing of Fr. Ellis DePriest, S.M., a priest of the Society of Mary (Marist) community. He officiated at the wedding of DLG and Major Dad. He gave First Holy Communion to H2 and Kenny, and he initiated my journey into the diaconate when, in 1992, he asked me to consider becoming a deacon.

Fr. DePriest, you will be missed by so many whose lives were enriched by knowing you! May the good Lord bless and keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto You. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN!

Life ends...He led a wonderful life and will be remembered for it. Great story...He was asked by Blue during our wedding if he was wearing any underwear under his robes. His response was, "Of course not. I stand over the grate to cool down". Great man.
