WATCH OUT LT. HARRIS... HERE COMES CADET TACKLEBERRY

WOW! I haven't had a "real" post since Thanksgiving eve!! I didn't realize it until Big J gave me a nudge.

Thanksgiving was very nice. We had most of the family there, MD/DLG and family, and H2/H2GF. KenEllie stopped by to give their Thanksgiving wishes before rushing off to spend the day with her folks and siblings who were in town for the holiday. H1/DIL1 stayed in H-town and had a sumptuous feast of their own.

Linda's birthday was the 3rd, and being the total GEEK that I am (I don't know where H1 gets it from) I got her a new printer for her computer. Yeah!! Just what she needed!! Actually, she DID need a new one.

S2 came into town last Thursday at MIDNIGHT (YAWN!!). Then Friday morning we all piled into Major Dad's vehicle and trucked across the lake to the Covington Craft Fair for some shopping, some food (funnel cake... that's what I'M talkin' about!!) and an all around good time. The visit was great. We went to Texas Roadkill for dinner one night, and to Pascale's Manale for lunch on Monday. She flew home to PA on Tuesday, but we're already looking forward to getting together again soon, perhaps for a two-wheeled vacation?

Today I finished my take-home final exam and emailed it to my professor. I'm finally FINISHED for the semester!! Now for some SERIOUS TUBING (of the TV kind).

And... breaking news!! H2 got the call yesterday!! He starts the NOPD Police Academy on MONDAY! Congrats and good luck! DLG and kids, H2GF, Linda and I took H2 to Outback last night to celebrate. It was a good time, but Major Dad and KenEllie were missed. Molly-moo was especially cute. As the waitress came and went picking up plates and empty glasses and such Molly would give her a dirty look and put her hand over her little dish of ketchup, keeping her eye on the waitress the whole time. She was NOT letting her take that ketchup!

It's been snowing all morning. We got a nice layer of snow so we could enjoy the effect of snow on the palm trees and cars and lawns. The it turned back to rain and has pretty much all disappeared. It was pretty while it lasted.

Wishing everyone the best during the Advent/Christmas season! Take care and may God bless you all with health and happiness in 2009!
