MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT!!!

8 and 0, BABY!!  The Saints are 8 and 0!!  They've got to quit spotting the other team a couple of touchdowns, though.  It's not good for my blood pressure!

It was a really good weekend.  Gave a homily on FAITH at all the masses.  Fr. Deo was the presider at the 8AM Mass.  It's always great to see him!  Looks like he'll be off to Rome in the next few weeks to give his doctoral dissertation.  We wish him success.

After lunch we were surprised when Ian walked in the door.  He had walked all the way to the Point from his house!  So we drove him back, and had a nice visit with DLG and kids.  BB nailed the riding a two-wheeler while we were there, with G'ma's help.  Got to say "Hi" to MD, Jack and the Dirty Mexican, too!

Next comes two two-day weeks (Wednesday is a holiday).  Life is GOOD (mostly).

6 AND 0 !!!

Are dolphins an endangered species? 'Cause the Saints just killed a batch of 'em! But nobody says it better than DLG!!!

SAINTS SWEEP NY!!!

The SAINTS welcomed home native son Eli Manning and the New York Giants by thoroughly trouncing them,48 - 27, making it a clean sweep of the Bills, Jets, and Giants!! GEAUX SAINTS!!

That surely capped off a good weekend. Preached at three masses, talked about our being called to service and linked it into the World Mission Sunday theme. Not too difficult when you think of the services rendered over the years by Catholic missionaries, not only in other parts of the world, but right here in Louisiana!

Heading back to work tomorrow with a bonus... Kenny has a job interview at our place of work. It looks like there is a contract coming in the very near future so interviews are being conducted ahead of time to prepare to bring new people on board as soon as the contract is signed. Please offer a prayer for Kenny that his interview goes well!

Did I mention that the Saints are 5 - 0???

'NUFF SAID

It was a good weekend for several reasons. Let's see, where to begin...

Saturday KenEllie, Linda and I went across the lake to "the Abbey" (St. Joseph's Abbey) to visit the gift shop. We bought an awesome set of windchimes that will hang in our currently non-existent (except in our minds) gazebo.

Then, Saturday evening Linda and I went over to MD/DLG's to celebrate Molly-moo's birthday. It's hard to believe that she's three already!! Where does the time go?

Then Sunday after Mass I had the privilege of baptizing little Chloe Grace... she was SO cute! Until they asked the deacon to hold her for a picture. Oh, no! Not going to the guy who poured water on her head!! Not gonna happen!

Let's see... oh, yeah:

LSU 4 - 0!! Geaux Tigers!

Saints 3 - 0!! Who DAT!!

And I almost forgot, Tulane won their game, too! Roll Wave!
